OUR FACILITIES
The personal problems of students are carefully addressed, and necessary counseling and guidance are provided by the college faculty.
The seminar hall is equipped with modern seating arrangements and all necessary facilities. We have specialized faculty to organize and conduct various seminars related to different branches of the nursing curriculum.
The college has well-equipped, spacious classrooms, each furnished with LCD projectors and modern educational aids to facilitate effective learning.
RCN is committed to motivating students to participate in various extracurricular activities by providing consistent encouragement. Necessary facilities are provided, and adequate funds are allocated to support these activities. The Sports and Cultural Committees oversee and supervise all extracurricular events.
The college provides a fleet of self-owned, high-tech buses equipped with CCTV cameras and operated by experienced drivers. These buses transport students to various clinical areas, fieldwork sites, and other academic units.
Rathna College of Nursing boasts a state-of-the-art library, which includes RGUHS HELINET and photocopying facilities. The library houses an extensive collection of over 3,285 books, as well as 7 journals (both Indian and international), magazines, newspapers, and research documents. It also has a large number of CDs, audio and video cassettes. Additionally, the library subscribes to 5 general magazines and offers internet facilities to support students’ academic needs.

Department Overview
This department focuses on training nursing students in basic nursing procedures, enabling them to provide essential care to patients in hospital settings. Students develop their foundational skills in the labs, where they practice on mannequins and dummies in simulated environments before being placed in real hospital scenarios. This hands-on approach ensures that students gain sufficient practice and confidence, allowing them to perform procedures efficiently and competently in actual clinical settings.
This Department functions in training nursing students on basic nursing procedures that will help them to render basic care to clients in the hospital. The basic skill of the students is developed in the labs by using mannequins, dummies in simulated situation before they are posted to real hospital situations. The students are exposed to practicing the nursing procedure so that they can develop with reasonable skill and perform procedures efficient in the actual scenario.
In this department, students are provided with nursing practice scenarios that blend primary health care and the principles of public health nursing. Activities such as home visits, field surveys, and door-to-door delivery of healthcare are designed to develop students' community health nursing skills. These practical experiences prepare them to serve the health needs of both urban and rural populations effectively.
The department provides specialized training in pediatric nursing to cater to the healthcare needs of children across all age groups, from birth to adolescence. Students benefit from quality teaching and learning experiences through expert instructors and hands-on clinical practice. The department aims to prepare students to function effectively as educators, managers, and researchers in the field of child health nursing.
The Obstetrical and Gynecological Nursing department integrates both theoretical and practical elements to train students in maternal and child health (MCH) care. Our graduates and postgraduates are trained by expert faculty to ensure they are competent and efficient in providing the highest quality care to the community. We focus on enabling students to serve as educators, managers, and researchers in the field of obstetrical and gynecological nursing.
Nurses require a solid understanding of nutrition in health and disease to deliver comprehensive care to individuals and communities. The Nutrition Lab is a crucial part of the nursing college, offering students the opportunity to learn, practice, and understand the relationship between food and health. Under the guidance of experienced faculty, students gain hands-on experience to enhance their knowledge and skills in the field of nutrition.
The Pre-Clinical Science Lab is well-equipped with various models, specimens, bones, skeletons, and subject-related charts. These resources provide students with the hands-on experience necessary to enhance their understanding of anatomy and other foundational sciences essential for nursing practice.
The college provides an excellent hostel located within walking distance from the campus. It is equipped with all necessary amenities, including good quality food, 24/7 security, CCTV surveillance, wardens, and recreational facilities to ensure the comfort and safety of students.
